Guidelines for your stay

A few gentle norms that keep Pallotti Home a place of prayer, rest and renewal for every guest.

The community of Pallotti Home extends you a warm and heartfelt welcome. In essence, this is a retreat house — a place of prayer, rest and renewal rather than a resort for leisure or entertainment. Choosing to stay here is an invitation to embrace its rhythm; we ask every guest to observe the norms below with care, so the house remains peaceful for all. Serious or repeated disregard for these norms may result in a group being asked to leave, a fine, or being unable to book again.

Silence & Rest

Peace for everyone

  • Give silence paramount importance. Please avoid conversations and discussions in the corridors and on the stairways.
  • This is a residential area shared with neighbours of many faiths, so we keep peace and harmony — there should be no singing or noise after 9:00 pm.
  • Lights should be off by 10:30 pm. Seminarians and priests live here too and need their rest after the day’s work.
Care of the House

Looking after the premises

  • Please switch off lights and close taps when not in use — water and electricity are precious, so kindly help conserve them.
  • Remember to switch off the geyser after use.
  • Do report any breakage to the Administrator at the earliest.
  • Please do not stick bills or posters, or write on the walls.
  • You are welcome to sit in the parlour and read the books and magazines. Kindly do not remove any material, and please leave the chairs and books as you found them.
Conduct

Within the campus

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly not permitted anywhere on the campus.
  • Please do not eat or drink beverages in the rooms.
  • Meals are served for all guests, participants and preachers in the refectory only; food is not served in the rooms.
Chapel & Prayer

In the place of worship

  • Please do not alter or add amplifiers in the chapel.
  • Kindly follow the archdiocesan guidelines when conducting adoration or a prayer service.
